BASILICUM POPA SAVU PROJECT

Basilicum is a restaurant situated on Popa Savu Street, in an Neo-Romanian inter-war building from the 30’s with an unmistakable character. The bohemian atmosphere of the building is emphasized by the simple and natural decor of the interiors, brought to life by decorative objects bought from antique stores. The furniture is simple, made from white painted wood, having a slightly antique look, while the walls have a manual patina, created in multiple layers with earth-like colours. The atmosphere is completed by the decorative works of art that decorate the walls, as well as floral drawings and old manuscripts. The de Majolica lighting pieces are also antique, and, together with the decorative objects on the shelves recreate the flare and romantism of the inter-war period.
